Participate in the standards development process by submitting comments on open draft standards and proposed policies.
The Public Comment Portal provides an open, accessible pathway for individuals, communities, and organizations to participate in the development of CMOS‑SB standards. Every standard undergoes public review to ensure transparency, scientific integrity, ethical alignment, and broad community input. Public comment periods are open for a minimum of 30 days and a maximum of 90 days. All submissions are routed to the CMOS-SB Secretariat and become part of the official public record.
The founding Governance Spine V1.0 standards were posted for public review on June 9, 2026. The formal public comment period runs July 27 - August 26, 2026 (30 days), completing the cumulative sixty (60)-day public consultation minimum established in the CMOS-SB Founding Document.
