Standards Registry
The authoritative registry of all CMOS‑SB standards — active, draft, under review, and archived.
The Standards Registry is the official public record of all standards developed and maintained by CMOS‑SB. Each standard is identified by a unique identifier, versioned according to the Change Management & Version Control Policy, and accompanied by a complete change log and version history.
Emotional Infrastructure Safety Standard
The foundational safety floor of the CMOS‑SB Governance Spine. Establishes baseline safety requirements — including emotional transparency, risk minimization, and relational integrity — that every system interacting with human emotional states must meet before deployment and maintain during ongoing operation. All other Governance Spine standards build on EISS.
Cognitive Mode Stability Standard
Governs system behavior with respect to the identification, monitoring, protection, and stabilization of human cognitive modes at the Human-Machine Layer. CMSS prevents systems from driving users into states of cognitive overload, contraction, or volatility and establishes affirmative obligations to support cognitive mode stability. Requires prior EISS compliance.
Requires: CMOS-SB-1001 (EISS)
Emotional Transparency and Disclosure Standard
Establishes binding requirements for how systems must disclose to users the nature, extent, and operational use of any capabilities that may affect their emotional state or cognitive mode. ETDS prohibits opaque emotional influence in all forms and requires disclosure to be meaningful, timely, and legible at all points of emotional-impact interaction.
Requires: CMOS-SB-1001 (EISS)
Emotional Data Consent and Privacy Standard
Establishes binding requirements governing how systems collect, process, store, use, and share emotional data — defined as any data derived from, inferring, or modeling the emotional state, cognitive mode, attentional pattern, affective signal, or psychological profile of a human user. Establishes a consent-first architecture treating emotional data as a category of heightened sensitivity.
Requires: CMOS-SB-1001 (EISS), CMOS-SB-1003 (ETDS)
Population-Level Emotional Risk Monitoring Standard
The capstone standard of the CMOS‑SB Governance Spine. Establishes binding requirements for the monitoring, detection, reporting, and remediation of population-level emotional risk events — defined as measurable patterns of emotional state degradation, cognitive mode instability, emotional contagion, or collective resilience failure across groups of users. Applies to systems serving 1,000 or more active users.
Requires: CMOS-SB-1001 (EISS), CMOS-SB-1002 (CMSS), CMOS-SB-1003 (ETDS), CMOS-SB-1004 (EDCPS)
